Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Technician to join our team. In this role, you will assist physical therapists in providing care to patients undergoing rehabilitation. Your primary focus will be on supporting patients in their recovery journey, ensuring a positive and effective therapy experience. Duties:
- Assist physical therapists with patient treatments and exercises.
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions.
- Help patients with mobility and ensure their comfort during sessions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the therapy environment.
- Document patient progress and report any changes to the supervising therapist.
- Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities.
- Support administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
Experience:
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and knowledge:
- Understanding of hospital medicine and acute care settings.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to physical therapy.
- Knowledge of physiology and its application in patient rehabilitation.
- Experience in geriatrics or working with inpatient populations is a plus.
- Strong emphasis on patient service, ensuring a supportive environment for all patients.
- Previous experience in a clinic or hospital setting is beneficial but not required.
