We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work closely with physical therapists to provide high-quality patient at a care outpatient clinic. This role is essential in helping patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life through tailored rehabilitation programs.
Duties:
- Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized care plans for patients.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering therapeutic exercises and modalities.
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes to the supervising physical therapist.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, exercises, and home care strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress notes.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Utilize knowledge of anatomy and physiology to effectively assist in therapeutic interventions.
- Apply techniques such as trigger point therapy when appropriate to enhance patient recovery.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assisting or a related field from an accredited program.
- Knowledge of outpatient rehabilitation practices and experience with geriatrics preferred.
- Familiarity with home health care protocols is a plus.
- Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology to support effective patient treatment.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care with empathy and professionalism.
- Previous experience in skilled nursing facilities or inpatient settings is desirable but not mandatory.
